Process automation is playing an increasingly important role in modern corrugators. BHS Corrugated can offer a wide range of process control systems at both the wet end and the dry end of a corrugator. Everything from a single source - machine and process control system!
Here is just a small selection of the available systems:
Corrugator Control Center (CCC): The "boss" of the system, which receives all orders from the host planning system and manages them across all machines in the corrugator line.
Wet End Controller (WEC): The "brain" of the corrugator, which stores all settings of the Wet End, so that the same qualities / grades can always be produced with the same settings. Reproducible quality is the result. The WEC is characterized by clear visualization and state-of-the-art industrial design as well as intuitive operation.
Automatic Quality Change (AQW): Realizes an automatic change of all quality-related settings as soon as the new grade passes through the machine. A quick changeover of grades and an increase of the average production speed can thus be achieved
Splice synchronization system (SSS): This system enables the individual splice points to be brought together when a quality change is made to minimize waste.
Roll Verification System (RVS): This system allows you to verify paper rolls before production and also to trace them back to the respective order. This is an increasingly important requirement, especially for customers who supply corrugated board to the food industry.
Warp Control System® (WCS): A modern process control system for minimizing temperatures at the Wet End of the corrugator to allow reliable production of consistently flat board with optimized settings and energy efficient production.
Target Speed Control (TSC): The autopilot of a corrugator. A completely new system for automatically delivering defined target speeds on the corrugator line and for evaluating and eliminating production limiting factors.
Zero Defect System® (ZDS 2.0 & ZDS 1.0): These systems are used to monitor the quality of your corrugated board production and identify any defects. The board is checked either at the Bridge Brake on the Wet End or after the Double Facer at the Dry End or at both positions. Numerous sensors check the board for the smallest bonding defects, folds or splices etc. Identified flaws can then be ejected at the Cutoff at speeds up to 400 m/min.
