This commitment was recognized by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy in cooperation with the Bavarian State Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Affairs with an award in the Bavarian business competition “Erfolgreich.Familienfreundlich” (Successful.Family-Friendly) 2025.
On July 9, 2025, Ulrike Scharf, Bavarian Minister of State for Family, Labor, and Social Affairs, and Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy, presented the award to the 20 winners, who prevailed against more than 200 competitors in a dense field of high-quality applications and impressed the expert jury with their family-friendly personnel policies and measures to promote work-life balance.
In their speeches, Ulrike Scharf and Hubert Aiwanger emphasized the increasing importance of a good work-life balance. Family-friendly companies have a clear advantage because they can respond more flexibly and quickly to changing working conditions. Especially in times of skilled labor shortages, family-friendly companies stand out clearly from others.
CTO Christoph Helms, Deputy Works Council Chairman Sebastian Kett, and Works Council member Birgit Zieglmeier accepted the award on behalf of BHS Corrugated.
