Under the motto “The Art of Entrepreneurship”, EY once again honored the best owner-managed companies in Germany this year. On November 7, 2024, the winners in the categories “Family Business”, “Innovation”, “Sustainability” and “Young Companies” were chosen from the 20 finalists at Motorwerk Berlin.
Christian and Lars Engel, Managing Directors and owners of BHS Corrugated Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH, took part in the award ceremony as one of 5 finalists in the “Innovation” category.
“Just making it to the final of the “Entrepreneur Of The Year Award” was a great success for us. We would like to share this with all our employees. Without their great commitment, their willingness to innovate and their desire for change, none of this would have been possible,” emphasizes Christian Engel.
In addition to culinary and musical highlights, the gala also featured an interesting presentation by polar explorer and expedition leader Arved Fuchs on climate change and the resulting consequences and challenges. The gala was hosted by journalist and entrepreneur Judith Rakers.
