As part of the PMO team providing support to the Project Managers in setting up the schedule and budget baseline for multiple development projects. Furthermore, monitoring the schedule, cost and progress performance of each of these projects and, if required, supporting the respective PMs in developing and implementing corrective actions. Establishing a detailed project reporting to support the Senior Management in the evaluation of the project performance including setting up conclusive KPIs.

Your future tasks:

  • Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestones
  • Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and contractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded 
  • Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring
  • Perform technical and commercial review of EPC and EPCI projects progress
  • Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project
  • Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work
  • Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives
  • Bringing in ideas and experience for the ongoing development of the PMO in regards to culture and processes

Requirements:

  • several years of relevant work experience and similar capacity in project estimating and cost controlling of multiple projects, preferable in the Mechanical Engineering Industry
  • Knowledge in the use of MS Project, Primavera Scheduling and SAP software's
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, team player qualities
  • Quick perception, good analytical competence - paired with hands-on mentality and pragmatic implementation skills
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams in an international environment, with multiple stakeholders/interests
  • Good command of spoken and written German and English
  • Goal orientation, assertiveness, resilience
