Your future responsibilities include:

• design and development of digital (software) solutions for data-driven value creation processes in the context of mechanical engineering and machine construction
• development and evaluation of concrete application cases together with technical experts
• application of approved software engineering techniques and methods within an agile process
• continuous delivery, maintenance and improvement of software
• realization of specific solutions in IT application systems as well as establishment of the required framework conditions for automated process sequences
• self-organized collaboration and technical exchange with specialist departments and cooperation partners

Your professional and personal profile:

• verifiable professional experience as software developer, software engineer or in a similar field
• training as IT specialist for application development or Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or a related subject with a technical or scientific background
• great interest in development and production processes in the field of mechanical engineering and machine construction
• knowledge of and experience in programming with high level languages such as Java, C++, Python etc.
• basic skills in software design and development in a test-driven environment and state-of-the-art open source frameworks and tools such as Git, Gradle und Jenkins
• ideally expertise in Cloud computing, high performance computing and big data technologies (e.g. AWS, Spark, Cassandra, SQL, etc.)
• ability to work independently and multi-task
• very good command of German and English, both spoken and written
