In 2024, we once again hosted some great events at our house, for which we would like to thank the organizers and, above all, the many visitors. Here are a few insights:

On June 16, 2024, the training marketing team organized a soccer tournament in the Soccer Arena for the first time together with FC Weiden-Ost. Visitors were treated to a great Family Day with goal wall shooting, a bouncy castle, various hands-on activities and plenty of refreshments. A total of 10 teams played for the cup - made up of soccer enthusiasts from the Weiden area and a BHS Corrugated trainee team.

The apprenticeship marketing team was also on site with a stand and provided information about apprenticeships and dual study programs at BHS Corrugated.

On 19.09.2024 the BHS Corrugated Inhouse Fair took place from 4 to 8 pm. This year, it was spread over the first floor and 2nd floor of the LCB building as well as the assembly hall. The fair was aimed at both career starters and those interested in taking the next step in their career. There was information on all jobs, apprenticeships and dual study programs. Visitors were able to take part in various hands-on activities from the specialist departments, a BHS photo box, personalized name badges and speed dating with recruiters.

A total of 15 departments were involved in the organization, preparation and implementation. The program was framed by a competition with great prizes. Participants had to collect a stamp at each station. The highlight of the fair was the interesting presentation by Mr. Christian Engel about BHS Corrugated as an employer in the FutureLab, followed by a tour of the ÜBZO, digital printing and the assembly hall.

In July 2024, 14 classes from secondary schools, middle schools and high schools in the Weiden area took part in the expeditions in Weiherhammer. The motto was “Experience BHS Corrugated live”. On a total of nine mornings, the students were given the opportunity to explore their interests in a realistic environment and gain practical insights into various professional areas.

The program included a factory tour, discovering the world of virtual reality in the Future Lab and a craft activity in the ÜBZO. Catering and a free shuttle bus were provided. The day was rounded off with a hand strength measurement in the gym, an application portfolio check and an optimization game. Seven specialist departments supported the training team's new project and were involved in both the organization and implementation.
