BHS Corrugated receives the SCM Award 2022 from its software partner “GIB”. Thanks to the implementation of a software solution for inventory optimization, BHS Corrugated has been able to reduce its inventory and to enhance/maintain its delivery performance. For this great success, “GIB” awarded BHS Corrugated in the category “Best optimization of inventories and supply capability”.
From May 31 – June 1, 2022, the software company “GIB” (meanwhile known by its brand name “ifm”) held its yearly SUCCESS DAY. GIB is a supplier of SAP integrated and certified software solutions for the improvement of logistics processes. The GIB SUCCESS DAYS are a central information and networking platform in the field of Supply Chain Management. The event has been held since 2008, and since 2012, when the SCM Awards were presented for the first time, they have been an integral part of the event. Customers of GIB who demonstrate how to master SAP based Supply Chain processes successfully are honored with the awards.
This year, BHS Corrugated was awarded one of the three SCM Awards. Peter Gruhle, Manager Data, Programs, and Solution at BHS Corrugated, received the award at a ceremony at Apollo theater (soll durchgängig AE sein) in Siegen, Germany. In the category “Best optimization of inventories and supply capability”, the awards honor customers who have successfully optimized and reduced their inventories, and have at the same time improved the delivery performance of their top parts, thanks to solutions of GIB. An expert jury assessed the applicants in this category and selected the winner based on the KPIs.
Since 2019, BHS Corrugated has been using one of GIB’s software solutions at its headquarters in Weiherhammer, Germany. This solution was introduced by Peter Gruhle and his team. At the ceremony, he explained: “The GIB controlling enables us to set up global disposition rules. After successfully introducing it in Weiherhammer, we have also rolled out the solution to our subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, in the US, in China, and in Singapore. We would like to thank all employees who have contributed to introduce the software and who now use it in their day-to-day business. I am honored to receive this award representing my team.”
